Believe in Possibility

I have been listening motivational lessons on YouTube while I work this week to help keep me on track and keep me motivated to stay in my office and keep working and taking real estate tests to get through my courses.

One of the major points they speak about it finding someone else who has been successful and follow what they did and make it your ritual. I have been around sales (20/20) for over 5 years and have heard it all but until it applies to you it is much harder to absorb. So, I have found my passion, lost my excuses and now have to MAKE IT HAPPEN. Set daily, weekly, yearly goals and how to can achieve them. Every little success will eventually lead me to where I would like to be.

I had many things holding me back in my own head that made me believe I could not be successful in a career

-Having kids too young
-No college degree
-No babysitter
 ETC, ETC, ETC

Somehow it has all come together that those things that were holding me back were not an obstacle anymore and I can still be successful if I am willing to do the work.

I am so blessed to have many mentors to copy and get knowledge from. Many are in my own family. I have great people in real estate to help me along this journey. My biggest competitor is myself.

Motivation is like showering...It must be done daily

Dear Mr. Henshaw

I was going through some boxes of books to have Madeline start reading since she is doing the Summer Reading program at the library and I came across my copy of Dear Mr. Henshaw. It was one of my favorite books growing up. I read it many times during my parents divorce and I used to relate a lot to the boy in the story.

When I met Ryan when I was 18 I was managing a skate shop and a cute long haired boy started to work with me. We were discussing books I really can't recall how it came up but he went down to the bookstore and bought me this book. He barely knew me at that time and we had just met and I realize now almost 8 years later that was the one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me. We are not big on anniversary's or gifts etc but that means more to me now than it did when I was 18 and I have the best husband. We may not always get along or agree but he has the best heart and he is truly my soul mate.

Everything you need you already have.....

2 Corinthians 9:8

8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Yesterday I was in a Monday funk. I have been really on my game the last 2 weeks very focused on work, school, gym and family of course ( and using my green thumb and fixing my front and backyard) so yesterday it all went away that quickly my motivation my energy everything. So I picked myself up (and Jaden too ) and went to the gym and ran my 4 miles and listened to Watermarkhttp  ://www.watermarkradio.com/  message from last weekend on my phone and almost instantly my mood improved I got my energy back and I was motivated again. God is amazing!!!!

I think it is so profound to think that EVERYTHING we NEED ( not necessarily everything we WANT) we already have or can obtain with hard work and dedication.  Ask and it will be given to you. So amazing! It is so easy to get discouraged, tired, lazy etc but as soon as you feed your mind with the Lord's word and take care of your mind/body how quickly things can change back to good.

So I need to remind myself I am blessed to be stressed and need to enjoy my little blessings in life!

New motto....

The only way to be who you want to be is by being what you haven't yet been."

- Sally Edwards

"Too often we are scared. Scared of what we might not be able to do. Scared of what people might think if we tried. We let our fears stand in the way of our hopes. We say no when we want to say yes. We sit quietly when we want to scream. And we shout with the others, when we should keep our mouths shut. Why? After all,we do only go around once. There's really no time to be afraid. So stop. Try something you've never tried. Risk it. Enter a triathlon. Write a letter to the editor. Demand a raise. Call winners at the toughest court. Throw away your television. Bicycle across the United States. Try bobsledding. Try anything. Speak out against the designated hitter. Travel to a country where you don't speak the language. Patent something. You have nothing to lose and everything everything everything to gain. JUST DO IT." --- 1992: Barry Sanders (from a Nike Ad)

Yes & No =

So this is my new working from home tactic with a 6 yr old and 3 yr old. Since Jaden can't read yet I can only put Yes or No! He understands if this sign is on my door I am on the phone for work and if it is an emergency he can come in. But an emergency to a 3 yr old is that he is out of food. He really liked the signs at first and now he keeps asking if he can rip it off.
P.S. I Love You!
