Ms.Popularity

Just a quick mom story about my dear Madeline...

She usually goes into the spin room with me to help me get set up and then she goes to her class at the gym. So, Monday she walks in with me and after she leaves a random lady was telling me that she is the most beautiful child and she used to watch her at her elementary school when she was visiting her son for lunch and that she just thought she should model.

Then Tuesday she walks in with me again and she starts waving to people. So I ask her "who are you waving to?"she says "oh my friends from church" (A lady in my spin class)

She is so cute she just knows people everywhere we go around town :)

Twister

I have been having dreams about Tornadoes a lot lately. Not sure why??? Maybe it all these TX storms or maybe there is some meaning behind it. So this morning I looked up what the meaning was behind the dream... The one I read that I most identified with was it meant that you were worried that everything could be taken from you in an instant just like in a tornado. I think there is something about your mid to later 20's when you look up one day and realize your mortality. For the first time in my life I am truly happy and have great family/friends and I am scared to lose it all I guess. Maybe now that I know the meaning my Twister dreams will end :)

Not sure how accurate this is but here are a few meanings....

Tornado, Tornadoes - Dream Symbol

Guest Author - Aisling Ireland

Tornadoes are one of nature's most awesome displays of power. The swirling vortex is fascinating to watch, with some people actually going out on tornado vacations -- adventures where one actually hopes to chase down a tornado in the hopes of seeing the sight in person rather than on The Weather Channel.

Tornadoes can also be seen in dreams as well as in waking life. What do they mean when they swirl into our dreaming minds?

Air Symbols -- Thoughts and Emotions

Tornadoes are massive funnels of air and in dreams air represents the thoughts and the thought processes. This spinning action could be symbolic of spinning around, not knowing which way to go since one's thoughts are running amok. Violent emotions can be another symbol the tornado may represent. It is important to look at one's life and see if there is a situation that is building to a dangerous level.

Symbols of Destruction

There is no disputing the fact that tornadoes leave massive amounts of destruction in their wake. They have the power to level anything that lays in their path and the destruction often appears random. It is not uncommon to see one home untouched by a tornado while the home next door lies in ruins. In dreams tornadoes can symbolize feeling that some form of destruction or ruin is imminent. It can symbolize a situation over which one feels powerless or feeling like some random misfortune is soon to enter one's life.

Tornadoes may be symbols of fear. In waking life, tornadoes rip away everything one cares about most. Is there some situation in your life that you fear will cause you to lose it all?

Warning

In waking life, when conditions are ripe for tornadoes, watches and warnings are issued. Sirens wail and television and radio stations blare out the familiar emergency tone. Dreaming of a tornado can actually be a warning that one needs to get one's affairs in order, that one needs to calm one's mind before the situation builds into one with the potential to cause devastating destruction.

Change

When tornadoes arrive in waking life they bring immediate change. Dream tornadoes may indicate the same -- abrupt, life-altering change. Change is something most people abhor yet it is sometimes necessary. If one has become completely set in one's patterns it may take some kind of monumental event to free one from what is perhaps comfortable but no longer healthy or life-affirming. A tornado dream may indicate that warnings have been issued but not heeded and therefore something out of one's control is arriving in order to clear out that which should have been abandoned long ago.

Carried Away

A less common interpretation of a tornado dream comes from the Wizard of Oz. In that story, the tornado is the portal to another world, carrying Dorothy far away from her Kansas home and off into the Land of Oz. If you associated strongly with that story as a child, ask yourself if you are wishing you too could be carried away by the tornado that appears in your dream. Alternatively, ask yourself if you are getting carried away with your thoughts or fantasies. Remember, as much as Dorothy desired escape, she realized that happiness was in her own backyard!

Until next time, sleep well and dream out loud!

HE is always in control

Biblegateway.com
Verse of the Day

“For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” Matthew 16:25 NIV

I love it in life when you see God opening up doors that there is no way you could have opened yourself. It is truly one of the most beautiful things in life. There are no coincidence's & HE is ALWAYS in control.

So happy and blessed Ryan and I have FINALLY found what we are passionate about in our careers and that HE has opened up the doors for us to be able to pursue our passions. When we 1st got married we had no clue what we were going to do so it has been an amazing journey to watch through 6 yrs of marriage and 2 kids later.

On another note... June has been crazy busy but so much fun! Our family all moved to TX, turned 26, went to Austin, had family from California visit and went to Prom! So much fun but now back to work and getting myself organized again in work & home life.

Maid of Honor

I received a very sweet birthday card from a friend I have had for over 12 years. We have gone through many stages in our friendship. Fighting, making up, best friends, Maid of Honor...but through it all we have managed to save our friendship as adults and I know we will be friends forever. I am excited to see her at her wedding one day. I am grateful for her friendship and the sweet card made my day yesterday.

2nd Annual Girls Austin Trip

Getting ready to head to Austin on Friday for the 2nd Annual Girls Trip w/Lindsay and Kristina. They are the best travel buddies. I am excited but always nervous to leave my kids. It is a mothers guilt every time I leave them. It is like you cant wait to get a break but when you do it is hard to relax at the same time. Looking forward to food, sun and great company.

The Big 2-6

I will be celebrating the BIG 2-6 tomorrow!!! I received the cutest email from my SIL & BFF yesterday made me feel very special. Just the fact that I do not have to think or plan (except what I will wear)  is a major bday gift for me since I am always the one in my family as the mother to plan, prepare and take care of everything.

JULIE SCHULTZ:

It has come to our attention that it's your birthday on Friday.

This is your mission, if you choose to accept it:

1. On Friday afternoon, sometime between 4:30 and 5:00 PM a masked man will arrive at your door. GET IN THE CAR WITH HIM. And don't ask questions. (Okay, joking, it'll be me, and I probably won't be wearing a mask since it's extremely hot in Texas this time of the year).

2. Pack a sleepover bag. AND DON'T ASK QUESTIONS! Not then. Not now. Not ever!

3. In your sleepover bag, please bring:

a. A party outfit

b. Pajamas

c. A toothbrush

d. A good attitude

4. Give Madeline and Jaden a hug and kiss because you won't be coming home until the following morning. Give Ryan one too. But don't worry, this has all been cleared with him. He knows (almost) everything that we're going to do, and he has given us his blessing.

And I think that covers it. Yep.

SEE YOU SOON!

Brooke & Stina

Very cute!!! So blessed to be surrounded by the best family & friends I could ever wish for!!! So on my (almost) 26th birthday I am thankful for my beautiful kids, beautiful husband, family and our friends that have become our family!!!

Til next time,

*UNDER CONSTRUCTION*

Due to the fact that I have not posted a blog since May 2009 I thought it was time to start blogging again and try to document (stay sane) with 2 kids, a husband, a new career, school, and everything else that comes with being a Real Housewife of Real Estate.....
